The dumbbell strict curl is an isolation exercise focusing on building the biceps by restricting movement to the elbow joint. This exercise promotes muscle growth and definition in the arms by ensuring a strict form that minimizes body movement.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding dumbbells at your sides with palms facing forward.
  2. Keep your elbows close to your body and curl the dumbbells upwards by flexing the elbows only.
  3. Pause briefly at the top of the movement, contracting the biceps, then slowly lower back to the start.
