The dumbbell pronate-grip triceps extension is an isolation exercise targeting the triceps. By positioning the hands in a pronated grip, the exercise emphasizes the long head of the triceps, promoting muscle growth and strength in the upper arm.

How to do it

  1. Lie on a bench with your feet flat on the floor.
  2. Hold a dumbbell in each hand, arms extended above your head with palms facing away.
  3. Slowly lower the dumbbells towards your forehead by bending your elbows.
  4. Pause briefly, then extend your arms back to the starting position.
  5. Maintain control of the weight throughout the movement.
