The Dumbbell Preacher Curl is an isolation exercise primarily targeting the biceps. Performed seated with the arm supported on a preacher bench, it maximizes focus on the biceps while minimizing stress on the shoulder and back, enhancing strength and definition.
How to do it
- Sit on the preacher bench, resting your arm on the pad, holding a dumbbell with an underhand grip.
- Position the upper arm flat on the bench with the elbow in line with the shoulder.
- Slowly curl the dumbbell upwards by flexing your elbow, keeping your upper arm stationary.
- Pause briefly at the top of the movement, squeezing the biceps.
- Lower the dumbbell back to the starting position with control.
