The dumbbell overhead sit-up targets the core, enhancing strength and stability. By holding a dumbbell overhead, it challenges the abdominals and shoulders, improving balance and control.
How to do it
- Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
- Hold a dumbbell with both hands above your chest, arms extended.
- Engage your core and tighten your abdominals.
- Perform a sit-up, keeping the dumbbell overhead, until your torso is upright.
- Slowly lower back down to the starting position.
