The Dumbbell Kneeling Hold to Stand is an effective exercise for building lower body strength and improving stability. It primarily targets the quadriceps, while also engaging the glutes and core for balance. This exercise enhances functional strength and coordination by simulating natural movements such as standing from a kneeling position.

How to do it

  1. Start kneeling on the ground with a dumbbell in each hand, held above your head.
  2. Engage your core and keep your back straight as you prepare to stand.
  3. Push off with one foot, bringing it forward into a lunge position.
  4. Use your front leg to propel your body upwards into a standing position.
  5. Lower back down to the kneeling position and repeat the movement.
