The Goblet Squat is an exercise that targets lower body strength and stability, primarily focusing on the quadriceps. Holding a dumbbell close to the chest engages the core and upper body muscles for additional stability, providing a full-body workout.
How to do it
- Hold a dumbbell vertically with both hands, under the top weight, in front of your chest.
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.
- Lower your body into a squat by pushing your hips back and bending your knees.
- Pause for two seconds at the bottom of the squat.
- Push through your heels to return to the starting position.
