The Goblet Squat is an exercise that targets lower body strength and stability, primarily focusing on the quadriceps. Holding a dumbbell close to the chest engages the core and upper body muscles for additional stability, providing a full-body workout.

How to do it

  1. Hold a dumbbell vertically with both hands, under the top weight, in front of your chest.
  2. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  3. Lower your body into a squat by pushing your hips back and bending your knees.
  4. Pause for two seconds at the bottom of the squat.
  5. Push through your heels to return to the starting position.
