The diamond push-up is an advanced bodyweight exercise targeting the chest and triceps. It involves placing the hands close together in a diamond shape, emphasizing the inner chest and triceps development. This exercise also engages the core for stability, making it an effective compound movement.

How to do it

  1. Start in a push-up position with your hands together under your chest, forming a diamond shape with your fingers.
  2. Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels. Engage your core and glutes.
  3. Lower your body towards the ground by bending your elbows, keeping them close to your body.
  4. Pause briefly at the bottom, then push back to the starting position by straightening your arms.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining control throughout the movement.
