The decline diamond push-up is a variation of the push-up focusing on the triceps, with additional emphasis on the upper chest and shoulders. It is performed with feet elevated and hands close together, forming a diamond shape, to maximize triceps engagement.
How to do it
- Place your feet on a bench and assume a plank position with your body in a straight line.
- Place your hands close together directly under your chest, forming a diamond shape with your thumbs and index fingers.
- Lower your chest towards the diamond by bending your elbows, keeping your body straight.
- Push back up to the start position, fully extending your arms while maintaining balance.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining control and alignment.
