Plyometric push-ups are an advanced exercise that combines strength and explosiveness by adding a dynamic component to the traditional push-up. This exercise enhances upper body power and endurance by incorporating a momentary lift of the hands off the ground.

How to do it

  1. Start in a standard push-up position with hands shoulder-width apart.
  2. Lower your chest towards the floor, keeping your body in a straight line.
  3. Explosively push up through your hands, lifting your body off the ground.
  4. Briefly take your hands off the floor, then land softly and repeat.
  5. Maintain core stability and control throughout the exercise.
