The chin-up is a bodyweight exercise focusing on upper body strength, particularly the back and biceps. It involves pulling the body upward until the chin clears the bar, effectively engaging multiple muscle groups and enhancing back strength and arm development.

How to do it

  1. Grip the pull-up bar with palms facing you, shoulder-width apart.
  2. Hang with fully extended arms and engage your core.
  3. Pull your body up until your chin is above the bar.
  4. Lower back to the starting position in a controlled manner.
  5. Repeat while maintaining form.
