The cable wrist curl is an isolation exercise targeting the forearm muscles, specifically the wrist flexors. It enhances grip strength and muscle endurance in the forearms. This movement is useful for improving performance in activities requiring strong wrists and forearms.

How to do it

  1. Sit on a bench with a cable machine in front of you.
  2. Grasp the cable handle with an underhand grip, palms facing up.
  3. Rest your forearms on your thighs with your wrists hanging just off the edge.
  4. Curl your wrists upward, squeezing the forearm muscles.
  5. Slowly lower the weight back to the starting position and repeat.
