The cable twist (up-down) is an exercise that targets the obliques by performing a twisting motion with a cable machine. It's beneficial for enhancing core strength and stability, especially rotational stability.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, facing a cable machine.
  2. Grasp the handle with both hands, arms extended upward.
  3. Twist your torso, pulling the handle down diagonally across your body.
  4. Control the movement back to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for desired repetitions, then switch sides.
