The cable twist (up-down) is an exercise that targets the obliques by performing a twisting motion with a cable machine. It's beneficial for enhancing core strength and stability, especially rotational stability.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, facing a cable machine.
- Grasp the handle with both hands, arms extended upward.
- Twist your torso, pulling the handle down diagonally across your body.
- Control the movement back to the starting position.
- Repeat for desired repetitions, then switch sides.
