The Cable Standing Close-Grip Row is an effective exercise for strengthening the upper back and improving posture. It engages the latissimus dorsi, rhomboids, and trapezius muscles. Performing this exercise helps enhance pulling power and muscular coordination in the back.

How to do it

  1. Stand facing a cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Grab the cable attachment with both hands in a close grip, keeping arms fully extended.
  3. Engage core muscles and pull the handle towards your torso, squeezing shoulder blades together.
  4. Return to the starting position with controlled motion.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
