The cable seated row with rope primarily targets the muscles of the upper back. It is an effective exercise for developing the latissimus dorsi, rhomboids, and trapezius, promoting better posture and enhancing upper body strength.

How to do it

  1. Sit on the floor facing the cable machine, legs extended.
  2. Grab the rope attachment with both hands, palms facing inward.
  3. Pull the rope towards your torso, squeezing your shoulder blades together.
  4. Hold briefly and then slowly release back to the starting position.
  5. Keep your back straight and core engaged throughout the movement.
