The cable crossover lateral pulldown is an exercise aimed at strengthening the upper back and shoulders. It involves pulling down cables from an overhead position, engaging multiple muscles in the back and shoulders for improved posture and strength.
How to do it
- Stand facing a cable machine, feet shoulder-width apart, and grab the handles with both hands.
- Position your hands above your head, elbows slightly bent.
- Pull the handles down and out to your sides, keeping your elbows slightly bent.
- Engage your back muscles as you lower the cables, and then return to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
