The cable bench press is an upper body exercise targeting the chest, using a cable machine for resistance. It provides a constant tension throughout the range of motion, enhancing muscle activation and control. This variation is beneficial for developing strength and hypertrophy in the pectoral muscles.

How to do it

  1. Lie flat on a bench positioned between two cable pulleys.
  2. Grip the cable handles with an overhand grip.
  3. Press the handles upward, extending your arms fully.
  4. Slowly lower the handles back to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
