The Bulgarian Split Squat is an effective lower body exercise targeting unilateral strength. By elevating one foot on a bench, it challenges balance and stability, aiding in muscle imbalance correction. It's excellent for building strength in the legs and enhancing athletic performance.
How to do it
- Stand a few feet in front of a bench, facing away.
- Rest the top of one foot on the bench behind you.
- Lower your hips towards the floor by bending your front knee.
- Push through the heel of your front foot to return to the starting position.
- Maintain a straight torso throughout the movement.
