The bottle weighted sumo squat is an exercise that targets the lower body by using a wide stance. It emphasizes inner thigh muscles while engaging the glutes and quadriceps. Performing this exercise can improve strength and stability in the lower body.
How to do it
- Stand with feet wider than shoulder-width apart, toes slightly pointed outward.
- Hold a bottle with both hands in front of you, arms hanging straight down.
- Lower your body by bending your knees and pushing hips back, keeping chest up.
- Descend until thighs are parallel to the ground.
- Press through your heels to return to the starting position.
