The bench hip extension is an exercise focused on strengthening the glute muscles. It involves extending the hip while maintaining a stable core and upper body, providing benefits in improving hip mobility and lower back support.

How to do it

  1. Position yourself on all fours with hands and knees on a bench, keeping your back straight.
  2. Engage your core and slowly extend one leg straight back while keeping your hips stable.
  3. Pause briefly at the top of the movement, then return to the starting position.
  4. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions before switching legs.
