Lever hip extension is an exercise executed on a leverage machine primarily targeting the gluteus maximus. It involves extending the hip against resistance, which enhances strength and muscle activation in the posterior chain.
How to do it
- Position yourself face down on the leverage machine.
- Align your hip joint with the pivot point of the machine.
- Place your ankle against the platform or lever.
- Extend your hip by pushing the lever upwards.
- Slowly return to the starting position and repeat.
