The Landmine Rear Lunge is a strength exercise that targets the lower body while engaging core stability. It involves lunging backward while holding a barbell anchored in a landmine attachment, working on balance and coordination.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, facing a landmine setup, holding the barbell with one hand.
- Step back with one leg into a lunge position, keeping the front knee aligned over the ankle.
- Lower the back knee toward the floor while keeping the torso upright.
- Push through the front heel to return to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps, then switch sides.
