Equipment
The Barbell Snatch Pull is a weightlifting exercise designed to build explosive strength and power. It enhances the upper and lower body's ability to work in harmony, improving overall athletic performance and preparing for more advanced Olympic lifts such as the snatch.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, placing a barbell on the ground in front, with a grip slightly wider than shoulder-width.
- Bend at the hips and knees, keeping the back straight and chest up, and grip the barbell.
- Lift the bar by extending the knees and hips quickly, driving through the heels, and pulling the bar up as high as possible with elbows leading.
- Keep the bar close to the body and use the momentum to pull it upward explosively.
- Lower the bar back to the starting position under control, then repeat.
