The Barbell Power Clean from Blocks is a dynamic exercise that develops explosive power and strength, primarily targeting the lower body, shoulders, and upper back. It involves lifting a barbell from blocks to shoulder height in a single, fluid motion.
How to do it
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, barbell on blocks in front.
- Bend at the hips and knees, grasp the bar with an overhand grip.
- Explosively extend your hips and knees to lift the bar.
- Pull the bar up, shrugging and rotating elbows under, catching at shoulders.
- Stand tall, then lower the bar back onto the blocks.
