The Barbell Pause Decline Bench Press targets the lower part of the chest by using a declined bench. Pausing at the bottom increases time under tension, enhancing muscle growth and strength development.
How to do it
- Lie on a decline bench and grip the barbell slightly wider than shoulder-width.
- Unrack the barbell and lower it slowly to your lower chest, pausing briefly.
- Press the barbell back up to the starting position, fully extending your arms.
