Gym Exercise Card
Equipment
The Guillotine Bench Press is a variation of the traditional bench press, focusing more on the upper chest. By lowering the barbell to the neck area instead of the chest, the angle of the movement emphasizes the pectoralis major, particularly the clavicular head, while also engaging the shoulders and triceps.
How to do it
- Lie flat on a bench with feet firmly on the ground.
- Grip the barbell slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.
- Lower the barbell slowly to neck level, maintaining control.
- Press the barbell upward, fully extending the arms.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
