The Band Twist (Down-Up) exercise targets the core muscles, emphasizing rotational strength and stability. It involves twisting the torso while maintaining tension on a resistance band, effectively engaging the obliques and other stabilizing muscles.

How to do it

  1. Attach a resistance band to a low anchor point.
  2. Stand sideways to the anchor, holding the band with both hands.
  3. Step away to create tension, with knees slightly bent.
  4. Twist your torso upward diagonally, extending your arms.
  5. Return to the start position with control and repeat.
