The Cable Horizontal Pallof Press is a core stabilization exercise aimed at enhancing anti-rotational strength. By resisting the rotational force applied by the cable, it effectively engages the core muscles, particularly the obliques, to maintain proper alignment.
How to do it
- Attach a single handle to a cable machine at chest height.
- Stand perpendicular to the machine, holding the handle with both hands at chest level.
- Step back to create tension on the cable, with feet shoulder-width apart.
- Press the handle straight out in front, keeping your core tight to resist rotation.
- Slowly return the handle to the starting position and repeat.
