The Cable Horizontal Pallof Press is a core stabilization exercise aimed at enhancing anti-rotational strength. By resisting the rotational force applied by the cable, it effectively engages the core muscles, particularly the obliques, to maintain proper alignment.

How to do it

  1. Attach a single handle to a cable machine at chest height.
  2. Stand perpendicular to the machine, holding the handle with both hands at chest level.
  3. Step back to create tension on the cable, with feet shoulder-width apart.
  4. Press the handle straight out in front, keeping your core tight to resist rotation.
  5. Slowly return the handle to the starting position and repeat.
