The alternate lying floor leg raise is a core stability exercise that targets the lower abdominal region. It helps improve core strength, flexibility, and overall balance. This movement involves raising the legs alternately while the body remains flat on the floor, engaging the abdomen and hip flexors.
How to do it
- Lie flat on your back with arms extended at your sides, palms facing down.
- Raise both legs towards the ceiling, keeping them straight and close together.
- Lower one leg slowly towards the ground, stopping just above floor level.
- Raise the lowered leg back up to starting position and repeat with the other leg.
- Continue alternating legs, maintaining a controlled and steady movement.
