The starfish crunch is a beginner exercise focusing on improving core strength and stability. It involves raising the arms and legs in a starfish-like position, engaging the rectus abdominis and obliques to help build a strong midsection.

How to do it

  1. Lie flat on your back with arms and legs extended in a starfish position.
  2. Engage your core and lift one arm and the opposite leg towards each other.
  3. Return to the starting position and repeat on the opposite side.
