The wide leg sit-up is an abdominal exercise that primarily targets the core muscles. By performing the sit-up with legs apart, it also engages the hip flexors and obliques more effectively. This variation aims to enhance core strength and improve stability, making it a great exercise for full-body coordination.

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with legs apart and hands behind your head.
  2. Engage your core and lift your upper body off the ground towards a seated position.
  3. Simultaneously reach forward with your arms between your legs.
  4. Slowly lower your body back to the starting position while maintaining control.
  5. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.
