The weighted standing twist is an exercise aimed at enhancing core strength and stability. It involves rotating the torso while holding a weight at chest level. This exercise helps in engaging the obliques and improving rotational power.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a weight plate at chest level.
  2. Keep your core engaged and back straight throughout the exercise.
  3. Twist your torso to one side, bringing the weight plate with you.
  4. Return to the center and rotate to the opposite side.
  5. Repeat while maintaining controlled and smooth motions.
