Toe walking is a balance and strengthening exercise that mainly targets the calves. It enhances stability and coordination while strengthening the lower legs. Performing this exercise regularly can improve foot and ankle mechanics, benefiting activities such as running and hiking.

How to do it

  1. Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Lift your heels off the ground, balancing on your toes.
  3. Walk forward with small, controlled steps, maintaining balance.
  4. Continue walking for a set distance or time.
  5. Lower your heels to rest, then repeat as needed.
