The Standing Gastrocnemius Calf Stretch is designed to increase the flexibility and length of the calf muscles. By elevating one foot and leaning forward, it effectively targets and stretches the gastrocnemius muscle, promoting better range of motion and reducing the risk of injury.

How to do it

  1. Stand facing a bench.
  2. Place the heel of one foot on the bench, keeping the leg straight.
  3. Lean forward gently, reaching for your toes to stretch the calf.
  4. Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds.
  5. Switch legs and repeat.
