The exercise involves stepping up onto a raised platform, such as a step or bench. This exercise primarily targets the lower body muscles, enhancing strength, stability, and balance. It's an effective way to build leg muscles and improve cardiovascular fitness.

How to do it

  1. Stand tall facing the step with feet hip-width apart.
  2. Place your right foot onto the step, pressing through the heel to lift your body up.
  3. Bring your left foot to meet the right, fully extending both legs.
  4. Step back down with the left foot followed by the right.
  5. Repeat the process, alternating which foot leads the step up.
