A stair jump is a plyometric exercise that targets lower body strength and explosiveness. It primarily engages the quadriceps and glutes as the body propels upward. This exercise is beneficial for improving power, agility, and cardiovascular endurance.

How to do it

  1. Stand facing the stairs with feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Bend your knees and lower into a squat position to prepare for the jump.
  3. Explode upward, driving through your heels and swinging your arms for momentum.
  4. Land softly on the stair, absorbing the impact with your knees slightly bent.
  5. Step or jump back down and repeat.
