Squats are a fundamental lower body exercise that primarily target the quadriceps, enhancing leg strength and endurance. This movement also engages the gluteus maximus and core, promoting balance and stability.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly pointed out.
  2. Engage your core and keep your chest up.
  3. Bend at the knees and hips, lowering your body until your thighs are parallel to the ground.
  4. Push through your heels to return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining a straight back.
