Lateral hops are a plyometric exercise that improves leg strength, agility, and coordination by utilizing fast, explosive movements. They target the lower body muscles and enhance athletic performance by increasing lateral movement capability and stability.
How to do it
- Stand with feet hip-width apart.
- Bend knees slightly and jump laterally to one side, landing softly on the balls of your feet.
- Immediately jump back to the starting position or to the opposite side.
- Keep the core engaged and maintain a quiet landing.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
