This exercise involves a combination of squatting and rising onto the toes, enhancing lower body strength and balance. It targets the quadriceps and calves while also engaging the glutes and core.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and arms extended forward.
  2. Lower into a squat, keeping the back straight and knees aligned with toes.
  3. Push through the heels to rise up, then transfer weight onto the toes.
  4. Hold briefly at the top, then lower back to the squat position.
  5. Repeat the movement for desired repetitions.
