The Smith Sumo Squat is a lower body exercise performed using a Smith Machine. It targets the glutes, quadriceps, and inner thighs. The exercise focuses on building strength and stability in the lower body while also engaging the adductor muscles.

How to do it

  1. Position your feet wide apart with toes slightly pointed out under the Smith Machine bar.
  2. With the bar resting on your upper back, release it from the safety latches.
  3. Lower your body by bending your knees, keeping your chest up and back straight.
  4. Descend until your thighs are parallel to the floor, then push through your heels to return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
