The Smith Machine Bicep Curl is an isolation exercise focused on strengthening the biceps. By using the Smith Machine, it provides stability and control, reducing the need to balance a free weight, which allows for concentrated focus on the bicep muscles.
How to do it
- Set the Smith Machine bar to a suitable height.
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and grasp the bar with palms facing forward.
- Curl the bar towards your shoulders while keeping elbows stationary.
- Squeeze the biceps at the top of the movement.
- Slowly lower the bar back to the starting position.
