The skater step-back is a dynamic exercise that improves agility, balance, and lower body strength. It mimics the lateral movement of a speed skater, engaging various muscle groups to enhance athletic performance and stability.
How to do it
- Stand upright with feet hip-width apart and knees slightly bent.
- Shift your weight onto your left foot and step your right leg diagonally behind the left.
- Bend both knees, lowering your body toward the floor.
- Push off the left foot to return to the starting position.
- Repeat on the opposite side, alternating legs.
