The skater step-back is a dynamic exercise that improves agility, balance, and lower body strength. It mimics the lateral movement of a speed skater, engaging various muscle groups to enhance athletic performance and stability.

How to do it

  1. Stand upright with feet hip-width apart and knees slightly bent.
  2. Shift your weight onto your left foot and step your right leg diagonally behind the left.
  3. Bend both knees, lowering your body toward the floor.
  4. Push off the left foot to return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat on the opposite side, alternating legs.
