The sitting fly on a padded stool targets the chest muscles by mimicking the motion of a fly with the arms extending and closing in front. This exercise enhances chest strength and muscle definition, focusing primarily on upper body stabilization.
How to do it
- Sit upright on a padded stool with feet flat on the ground.
- Extend your arms out to the sides at shoulder height.
- Brace your core and slowly bring your hands together in front of you.
- Squeeze the chest at the end of the movement before returning to start.
- Keep your arms slightly bent throughout the exercise to avoid joint strain.
