The sitting fly on a padded stool targets the chest muscles by mimicking the motion of a fly with the arms extending and closing in front. This exercise enhances chest strength and muscle definition, focusing primarily on upper body stabilization.

How to do it

  1. Sit upright on a padded stool with feet flat on the ground.
  2. Extend your arms out to the sides at shoulder height.
  3. Brace your core and slowly bring your hands together in front of you.
  4. Squeeze the chest at the end of the movement before returning to start.
  5. Keep your arms slightly bent throughout the exercise to avoid joint strain.
