The Side Bridge Hip Abduction, also known as the Star Pose, is an advanced core strengthening exercise. It targets the obliques and engages the glutes, enhancing lateral stability and balance. This exercise is beneficial for improving core strength and hip stability.
How to do it
- Start in a side plank position with your elbow directly under your shoulder.
- Engage your core and lift your hips so your body forms a straight line from head to feet.
- Raise the top leg as high as possible while keeping your body stable and aligned.
- Hold the position briefly, then return to the start.
- Repeat for desired reps, then switch sides.
