The seated row with a towel is an effective exercise for developing upper back strength and improving posture. Using a towel simulates the resistance usually provided by machines or bands, engaging multiple muscle groups while enhancing grip strength and core stability.
How to do it
- Sit on the floor with your legs extended and loop a towel around your feet.
- Hold the towel's ends with both hands, keeping your back straight and shoulders down.
- Pull the towel towards your torso by squeezing your shoulder blades together.
- Pause briefly at the top position, maintaining tension in your upper back.
- Slowly release to return to the starting position and repeat.
