The seated ankle stretch aims to improve ankle flexibility and reduce tension around the lower leg area. By sitting back on the heels, it gently stretches the muscles around the ankles, increasing mobility and assisting in the prevention of injuries related to joint stiffness.
How to do it
- Kneel on the floor with your knees and feet together.
- Sit back onto your heels, keeping your back straight and chest up.
- Hold the position for 20-30 seconds to feel a stretch in the ankles.
- Release and repeat as needed, maintaining relaxed breathing throughout.
