The scapula dip is an exercise that focuses on strengthening and stabilizing the muscles around the shoulder girdle. It involves performing dips while emphasizing the movement of the scapulae, which improves shoulder stability and posture.

How to do it

  1. Sit on a bench with hands placed beside the hips.
  2. Slide off the bench, supporting your weight with your arms.
  3. Lower your body by allowing the scapulae to retract.
  4. Press through your palms to raise your body back up, protracting the scapulae.
  5. Repeat the motion for the desired number of repetitions.
