The upright row is a compound exercise targeting the shoulders and upper back, particularly useful for building shoulder strength and size. Using bottle weights makes it accessible and convenient for home workouts.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, hold a bottle in each hand.
- Keep palms facing towards the body with arms extended.
- Lift the bottles along the body, raising elbows above shoulders.
- Pause at the top, then slowly lower the bottles back down.
- Keep core engaged and back straight throughout the movement.
