Gym Exercise Card

Equipment

Foam Roller
Foam Roller

The exercise involves using a foam roller to mobilize the thoracic spine while lying on the floor. It helps improve thoracic mobility and can alleviate back stiffness. Starting from a lying position, the individual uses the foam roller to create a gentle arch in the upper back.

How to do it

  1. Lie back on a foam roller positioned under the thoracic spine.
  2. Support the head with both hands, elbows wide.
  3. Lift hips slightly off the ground, engaging the glutes.
  4. Roll slowly up and down the upper back, pausing at tight spots.
  5. Avoid arching the lower back and keep the neck relaxed.
