The Open Book Stretch is designed to improve thoracic mobility and stretch the obliques and chest. It involves lying on your side and moving your top arm across your body to open up your chest. The position resembles opening a book, promoting flexibility in the torso.

How to do it

  1. Lie on your side with knees bent and arms extended in front of you.
  2. Inhale and open the top arm across your body while keeping your hips and lower body stable.
  3. Hold the stretch for a moment, feeling the rotation through the torso.
  4. Exhale and return to the starting position.
