The Lying Lower Back Stretch is a simple yet effective exercise that focuses on enhancing lower back flexibility and relieving tension. Ideal for a cool-down routine, this stretch targets the lumbar region, helping to release stress and improve your overall posture.

How to do it

  1. Lie down comfortably on your back on a mat with your legs extended fully.
  2. Extend your arms out to the sides, palms facing upward, creating a T-shape with your body.
  3. Gently arch your lower back by contracting your glutes and pushing your abdominal area upward, holding the stretch for a few seconds.
  4. Slowly return to the starting position by lowering your abdomen back to the floor.
  5. Repeat this movement for several breaths, maintaining a smooth and controlled motion to maximize the stretch.
